SNEAK PEEK - MERCEDES GULLWING

Not content to sit on the sidelines while the world watches Ferrari, RUF, and others debut their new supercars, Mercedes-Benz release a full, 35 picture gallery of hi-res "spy" photos of their upcoming SLC/SLS "gullwing" supercar. The SLR McLaren successor promises to be just as fast as the outgoing SLR, addressing that car's weight issues and being more "true" to Mercedes' heritage.

RENNTECH will have tuning upgrades available at the time of launch. Contact RENNTECH for more information.

NEW E COUPE | CLK REVEALED

Global Motors' photographers have snapped the clearest pictures yet of the upcoming CLK successor from Mercedes-Benz. Called the E coupe, the car take styling cues from the future-classic CLS class, which launched the current wave of 4-door coupes from Audi, Volkswagen, Aston Martin, and BMW.

Expect some new chassis and brake innovations from the AMG model, as well as a Bluetec diesel version. CLICK HERE for the original article and hi-res photo gallery.

John Neff writes: We've seen so many spy shots of the upcoming 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class that these official images hardly move us. Yet here they are, (grainy) images leaked onto the web that reportedly reveal the final production form of the 2010 E-Class, which makes its official debut in January.

NEW E CLASS CAUGHT

--- from Autozeitung, via Carscoop.

German car magazine Autozeitung is claiming to have the first official photo of the next-generation Mercedes E-Class in its latest September issue. According to Autozeitung, the above image has not been digitally enhanced in any way - and until someone provides substantial proof otherwise, we have no reason to doubt them.

WORLDCARFANS CATCHES 2010 E63

--- from WorldCarFans, CLICK HERE for original article.

MB's E63 AMG is still under development according to these latest spy shots taken by WCF's photographers at the Nurburgring. It still carries a good bit of camo, but there won't be many surprises in the styling department after Mercedes' Concept FASCINATION reveal (covered HERE).

We'll have to wait and see what changes AMG have made to the E's running gear.

PARIS PREVIEW | CLK SHOOTING BRAKE

--- from Autoblog, CLICK HERE to read the original article.

When the doors open at the Paris Motor Show next month, Mercedes-Benz will be giving everyone a sneak peek of the new E-Class front-end styling. No, not in the form of the new E-Class itself, which will be unveiled at a later date, but in the ConceptFASCINATION, an attractive shooting brake concept based on the upcoming E-Class Coupe's architecture and featuring the new E's front-end styling.

SLC AT THE RING

--- from GlobalMotors.net, CLICK HERE for original article and photo gallery.

Spy pics of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz Gullwing continue to make their way onto the interweb, with a number of shots being published yesterday from the increasingly famous Nurburgring.

Despite the heavy masking, a few new details seem evident in this latest crop of photos (retro grille, the rear wing will probably be an active air-brake, like on the SLR, rear exhausts, etc.), but we'll have to wait and see how many of these "details" are just illusions and camouflage.

SEMA PREVIEW : PART 1

Last week, Modified Luxury and Exotics posted some of the concept art for our 2008 SEMA build. ML&E didn't post many details (and I won't be posting many here, either!) but I will say that these were early renderings, and don't do the final design any real justice.

That's all I can say for now - check in often for more updates as we get closer to the SEMA reveal.

SLC CAUGHT STATESIDE

--- from Automotive Traveller, CLICK HERE for original article and hi-res photo gallery.

While this test mule is under some unique, hard-sided camouflage, it is obvious what we were looking at: the successor to the current Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. But this one will be an in-house affair with AMG being the main development partner. Even with the camouflage, this looks like it's going 200 MPH standing still!

2010 S CLASS FACELIFT

--- from WorldCarFans, CLICK HERE for original article.

The Mercedes S Class has only been on the market for a short while but with rivals such as the BMW 7-series and Audi A8, the German manufacturer cannot afford to be complacent. Ahead of its launch, WCF's spies caught a prototype almost totally free of disguise.

2010 CLK SPY SHOTS

--- from Automotive Traveler. CLICK HERE to view the original article and photos.

AutomotiveTraveler is making its weekly rounds in California desert, hunting down vehicles as they undergo extreme hot weather testing in one of the world's most punishing environments. This time we caught a caravan of Mercedes engineers on their lunchbreak, and of all the fine dining establishments available in the region, our friends from Stuttgart chose to dine at Mickey D's. Next time, try Tokyo House Japanese Restaurant down the street; from our our past visits to the California high desert we can tell you that the lunch specials are the best in town.

Today we were rewarded with not just a Big Mac, but with these glimpses of a heavily disguised Mercedes-Benz. At first glance we thought might have been a CLS-style 4-door coupe version of the current C-Class, but it is in reality, the next CLK. Judging by the effort that they've taken to cover the C-pillar and rear-wheel arch, it appears they're doing their best to make it look like they are disguising a rear door and applying a CLS-style four-door sport sedan treatment to the smaller C-Class platform. But that just fooled us at first. We tip our hat to the team in Germany that fabricated the rear camo package.
