RENNtech Wins the Swan Award at 2024 Lake Mirror Car Show

The 2024 Lake Mirror Concours and Car Show in Lakeland, FL, showcased the very best in automotive excellence. Set against the scenic Lake Mirror Promenade, the weekend’s main event on Saturday highlighted Mercedes-Benz and Cadillac as the featured marques.

World Record holder the "Bullet" AMG GT63 built by RENNtech 

RENNtech's Modern Icons:
We at RENNtech were thrilled to bring a few of our own performance machines to the show, including “The Bullet,” a 2019 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT 63 S. With 1200 HP and finished in striking Graphite Magno with Lite-Speed Gloss Black Magnesium wheels, “The Bullet” broke the gas-powered world record with a 9.79-second quarter mile at 1000 feet, earning recognition in the DuPont Registry, and won the Swan Award in the 2000's Mercedes-Benz category. 

AMG GT R3 RENNtech's Official Development Vehicle

Another crowd favorite was our official RENNtech Development 2017 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT. Used in our R&D for the AMG GT (C190 -chassis), this vehicle is the foundation for developing high-performance upgrades including engine components, exhaust systems, suspension, and aerodynamic parts, delivering an impressive handling and 750 HP and 650 lb-ft of exhilarating performance.

Mercedes-Benz 500E RENNtech E60

RENNtech 500E 6.0: A Timeless Performance Icon
Our Classics division showcased a rare 1993 Mercedes-Benz 500 E 6.0, meticulously upgraded by RENNtech in 1997. With only 38,220 miles, this Stage 3 powerhouse boasts a 6.0L M119 V8, producing 457 HP and 491 lb-ft of torque. Finished in Pearl Black, this iconic sedan recorded a 0-60 time of 4.4 seconds, with a top speed of 180 mph.

RENNtech’s Legacy and Leadership:
RENNtech owner and founder, Hartmut Feyhl, joined us at the show, engaging with attendees on our cars' engineering and history. Feyhl’s journey began at AMG in Affalterbach, Germany, where he contributed to the legendary W124 AMG E300 6.0 “Hammer.” After launching RENNtech in 1989 with the support of AMG founder Hans-Werner Aufrecht, Feyhl has dedicated RENNtech to delivering “Performance Without Compromise.”

Mercedes-Benz 540K Spezial Roadster

A Historic Display from Mecum Auctions:
One standout was the 1936 Mercedes-Benz 540K Spezial Roadster, brought by Dana and Patti Mecum of Mecum Auctions. With its Sindelfingen “High-Door Long-Tail” Coachwork, this car was originally owned by Baroness Gisela Von Krieger for 50 years and achieved a record $11,770,000 sale at the 2012 Gooding & Company’s Pebble Beach Auction.

RENNtech Motorsports Wins at Indy!

RENNtech Motorsports with drivers Michael Auriemma and Matheus Leist win the final race of SRO Pirelli GT4 America 2024 season.

WHAT A RACE! WHAT A SEASON!

RENNtech Motorsports Team with drivers Michael Auriemma and Matheus Leist scored overall victory in SRO’s Pirelli GT4 America Race 2 on Sunday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The win at the prestigious track also marked the final race in the 2024 racing season, where Auriemma and Leist placed 4th and RENNtech Motorsports Team 5th in the Pro-Am category.

The Stuart, FL, based Team celebrated the 2nd win and 3rd podium finish of the season and their 6th season of racing in the SRO Pirelli GT4 America -series. 

“It is great to win at Indy - Michael and Matheus drove a fantastic race, and the Team did an outstanding job delivering a winning car. The season was eventful, and we are happy to go home with the win here today”. 

Said Team Owner Hartmut Feyhl.

“I was going for it today. You know we had a few chances through the year, but today was great. We had a great car. RENNtech gave us a very good car, a very good car, and Mercedes was great today! Just very happy with this win, Michael drove a great race today. Very happy to come out with the overall win here at Indy!”.

“We really wanted to go home with this - We started the season with a win, we wanted to end with a win! We feel that we are a good driver combo, we had some ups and downs throughout the year, but clearly Matheus can drive and we look forward to being back next year.”. said Michael Auriemma
