RENNtech returns to GT 4 America Challenge with Patrick Byrne and Guy Cosmo.

Cosmo and Byrne will take the wheel of the Torxen #89 RENNtech Motorsports AMG GT 4 for the remainder of the SRO America’s Pirelli GT4 America schedule with races at Watkins Glen International, Road America and Las Vegas. The lineup of experienced drivers Cosmo and Byrne, together with main sponsor Torxen show great promise for the re-maining three races. Cosmo and Byrne, who previously won the Asian Le Mans series in the LMP3 class as co-drivers, will compete in 60 minute Sprint-X style race events.

“We were holding out for top-tier drivers to finish up remainder of the 2019 Championship season, Guy and Patrick are the perfect fit to take charge in the Pirelli GT4 America Challenge -series. With the backing of the RENNtech Motor-sports Team and our main sponsor Torxen, we are excited to bring out the best for the remaining races.“ said Hartmut Feyhl, owner of RENNtech Motorsports.

Guy Cosmo is a stand out among North American sports car drivers, with extensive experience in both Proto-type & GT racing.

“I’m thrilled to be joining RENNtech for the upcoming SRO GT4 America races. Hartmut Feyhl is a good friend and someone I’ve known for a very long time now, with his outstanding reputation for his work in the automotive industry. Being local to me in Palm Beach County, it’s exciting to be racing for a team based close to home as well as being able to help RENNtech establish themselves with their new racing program. Teaming up with Patrick Byrne is always one of my favorite things to do when it comes time to go racing. Not only will he be a great addition to their program but I’m excited to see Patrick excel in this format. He gets faster every time he steps in a car and together with RENNtech and the Mercedes-AMG GT4 we should have a very competitive package.” Guy Cosmo

Patrick Byrne, a seasoned race car driver with experience in Prototype, GT3 and Ferrari Challenge, will share driver responsibilities alongside Guy Cosmo.
“I am very much looking forward to driving with RENNtech and my favorite longtime co-driver, Guy Cosmo, in the last three rounds of the Blancpain SRO World Challenge America Series. RENNtech’s vast AMG background and experience will be a very valuable component to a winning GT4 combination. Guy has been driving this Mercedes machine in other series so his recent experience will also add to our arsenal. Las Vegas is a bit of an unknown to all of us, but Watkins Glen and Road America are iconic driver tracks where, as drivers, we always look forward to the next contest.”  Patrick Byrne
